AMMAN — Mind Lab, a Jordanian enterprise founded by Hamza Arsbi, which works to develop and provide creative educational content to underserved communities across Jordan, won the Obama Foundation’s Scholars Programme this year.
The programme aims to give rising young leaders around the world, who are already making a difference in their communities, the opportunity to take their work to the next level through "a newly designed curriculum that brings together academic, skill-based, and hands-on learning", according to the foundation's website.
The company also earned the Dalai Lama Fellowship, housed at the University of Virginia’s Contemplative Sciences Centre, which cultivates and supports a global movement of next generation leaders integrating contemplative work with social innovation to solve global challenges, according to the fellowship's website.
Arsbi said: "This is a great representation of entrepreneurship in Jordan and a new opportunity to improve education across the country."
