Jordanian-Omani Parliamentary Committee, Omani ambassador discuss economic cooperation

AMMAN — Head of the Jordanian-Omani Parliamentary Committee MP Ramzi Ajarmeh on Monday called for enhancing economic and cultural ties between Amman and Muscat. During a meeting with Omani Ambassador Fahad Alojaili, Ajarmah underscored the "deep-rooted" relations between Jordan and Oman, highlighting the importance of increasing Omani investments in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Alojaili praised the "historical" Omani-Jordanian relations and referred to a memorandum of understanding signed in 2014 between the two countries' parliaments, aimed at facilitating the exchange of expertise. He also stressed that Jordan holds a significant position as a preferred destination for Omani students. The ambassador also highlighted that the Kingdom enjoys notable tourism and economic attractions, stressing the significance of boosting economic, tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
