Jordan’s economy grew by 2.6% in Q3 2022 — DoS

AMMAN — Jordan’s economy grew by 2.6 per cent in the third quarter of 2022, compared with the same period in 2021, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
Citing gross domestic product (GDP) growth figures from the Department of Statistics (DoS), quarterly figures revealed that the extractive industries recorded the highest growth at 5.3 per cent, contributing 0.12 percentage points to the GDP.
This industry was followed by the agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing sectors at 4.1 per cent, with their contribution standing at 0.16. The construction sector came next at 3.6 per cent, followed by the transformative industries sector at 3.5 per cent.
