AMMAN — The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) and the American University of Madaba (AUM) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in outlining scientific research, exchanging expertise and conducting periodic training lectures for students enrolled in majors relevant to the stock market. The memo, signed by JSC Chairman Adel Bino and AUM President Mamoun Akroush, aims to spread awareness of the stock market, its local and global legislation, and international practices for university students by attracting experts to teach practical courses on the capital market at the university, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The memo also aims to embark on cooperation in holding training, workshops, seminars and scientific conferences for AUM students, exchanging publications, periodicals and scientific research. Under the MoU, university students are given an opportunity to present and benefit from new financial ideas, especially on financial technology, aimed to stimulate their capabilities in this field. The two sides will also launch cooperation between their technical experts, while the JSC provides educational packages on the stock market to spread financial culture among AMU students.
