Judeh, Araby discuss preparations for Arab League meeting

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Araby on Sunday discussed preparations for the Arab League ministerial meeting, which begins on September 7, as well as the latest regional developments.
The two officials stressed the importance of activating joint Arab action and maintaining coordination on various issues.
They praised the Egyptian mediation that resulted in a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, stressing the importance of the resumption of peace negotiations, leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Judeh also emphasised the need for unified action to stop Israeli violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh participated on Wednesday in the advisory meeting of Arab ministers of foreign affairs which was held in New York, on the sidelines of the 69th UN General Assembly.
