KACE launches new gov’t services, innovative initiative awards

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence (KACE) launched the new version of the distinguished government service and the innovative initiative awards as part of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency.
In a press conference on Sunday, KACE Executive Director Ibrahim Rawabdeh said that the innovative initiative award was launched to encourage ministries and public departments to adopt innovation in their administrations, operations, activities and services, as well as to create a stimulating environment for employees.
Rawabdeh added that the award, which sees the participation of 13 departments and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, is based on applying the concepts of innovation and creativity in the public sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
