KAFD launches new edition of Electronic Applications Challenge for school students

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Sunday launched a new edition of the Electronic Applications Challenge. 

The challenge aims to develop school students’ innovation skills and build their capabilities in designing and developing electronic games. 

The competition, launched in 2011, also aimed to prepare a creative young generation capable of enhancing Jordan's position in the field of information technology, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported citing a KAFD statement Sunday. 

The competition targets school students between the ages of 14 and 16 years and registration is open until June 17 at:  HYPERLINK "https://appch.kafd.jo" https://appch.kafd.jo. 

The competition comprises four main stages: An introductory session, followed by training on basic programming and design of electronic games for a period of five days. The semi-final stage begins with the development of electronic games for a period of six weeks prior to the final stage of evaluating the qualified teams and announcing the results.
