Khadra, Shweikeh discuss e-gov’t services

AMMAN — The Higher Education Ministry is planning to offer certificate recognition and equation services online, since they account for 88 per cent of the requests it receives, the minister, Labib Khadra, said Wednesday.
At a meeting with ICT Minister Majd Shweikeh, Khadra said his ministry is working on a portal, in cooperation with the ICT Ministry, where students can submit their applications and pay online. Shweikeh said the fibre optic grid connecting education and health units around Jordan is expected to be ready within two years.
