AMMAN — Around 36 per cent of all diagnosed cancer patients in Jordan are under 50 years old, according to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF).
KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamish, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Sunday said that the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC) provides treatment for 65 per cent of the Kingdom's cancer patients, noting that about 22,000 patients are currently receiving medical treatment at the centre.
The KHCC receives patients of all ages from across the country, Qatamish added.
The KHCC has also recently launched the Cancer Care Programme (CCP), a non-profit solidarity programme that covers cancer treatment at the KHCC, according to their website.
Members can choose from four coverage options for amounts up to JD10,000, JD15,000, JD20,000 and JD 30,000.
The KHCC welcomes subscribers of all nationalities, regardless of age, given that they have no prior history of cancer, the source added.
