AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday attended the state funeral held for Japan’s former prime minister Abe Shinzo at Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo.
King Abdullah extended his condolences to Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and the Abe family over the passing of the former prime minister, who was assassinated in July, according to a Royal Court statement.
At the funeral, attended by a number of leaders and officials from various countries, the King was accompanied by HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy.
