King checks on Saudi monarch’s health

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday telephoned Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz and checked on the health condition of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz.
During the telephone call with Prince Salman, who is also deputy prime minister and minister of defence, the King wished the Saudi monarch a speedy recovery.
Also on Monday, His Majesty called Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, Saudi deputy crown prince, second deputy prime minister and special envoy to the king, and inquired about the Saudi monarch’s health.

His Majesty King Abdullah met on Wednesday with Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, president of the Saudi general intelligence department, who conveyed greetings to His Majesty from Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz.
Saudi Arabia’s Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, a former intelligence chief in the conservative Islamic kingdom, has been appointed deputy crown prince, state television reported on Thursday, making it likely he will one day become king.
Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has died, the royal court said in a statement early on Friday that was broadcast by Al Arabiya TV.
