King condoles India president over floods victims, Guterres over Annan’s death

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday sent a cable to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, condoling him over the loss of lives in monsoon floods in Kerala and around India.
In the cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere sympathies and condolences to the Indian president and the families of the victims, according to Petra.
Also on Sunday he sent a cable to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, condoling him over the passing of former UN secretary general Kofi Annan. In the cable, King Abdullah remembered Annan’s efforts to defend human rights to achieve peace and maintain global security and stability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
