King to receive award from Kazakhstan

AMMAN — Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Monday decided to award His Majesty King Abdullah a special prize for his contribution to nuclear disarmament and security, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The King was chosen as “the first laureate” of the award, Nazarbayev said. Kazakhstan recently established the award, which will be given annually on August 29, the anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
