King receives German defence minister

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday received German Federal Minister of Defence Christine Lambrecht.
The meeting covered means to advance defence cooperation between Jordan and Germany, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah stressed the ties of friendship between the two countries, and keenness to strengthen the partnership, expressing appreciation of Germany’s support for Jordan in a number of sectors.
Discussions also addressed the latest international and regional developments, as well as cooperation and coordination in efforts to counter terrorism within a holistic approach.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti attended the meeting.
