King returns home after NATO summit

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah returned home on Friday after taking part in the NATO Summit at Newport in South Wales on Thursday, along with leaders of NATO member states and partners.
On the sidelines of the summit, the King met with several world leaders with whom he discussed ways to boost Jordan’s relations with their respective countries as well as several issues of joint concern, a Royal Court statement said.
The King met with UK’s Prince Charles and Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He also met with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, US President Barack Obama, and the prime ministers of the UK, Canada, The Netherlands, and Italy, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union.
