AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday reaffirmed the need for cooperation and coordination among all stakeholders to organise the return of Jordanian students to the Kingdom, ensuring a smooth and orderly process.

Chairing a National Policies Council (NPC) meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, His Majesty stressed the importance of taking the necessary measures to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the students when facilitating their return, according to a Royal Court statement.

During the meeting, attended by HRH Prince Feisal, adviser to His Majesty and NPC chairperson, King Abdullah emphasised the importance of closing off the precautionary quarantine areas that will house the returning students.

His Majesty underscored the need to avoid hasty decisions that could lead to setbacks in efforts to counter the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The King was also briefed on measures taken to address the impact of COVID-19, the statement said.
