Labour minister meets inspection department employees

AMMAN — Labour Minister Samir Murad on Saturday said that the ministry's inspection strategies target all employers and guest workers in the economy's various sectors to ensure their commitment to the decisions and laws that aim to achieve a regulated market.
During his meeting with the inspection departments' employees in the presence of the Labour Ministry's Secretary General Hani Khleifat, Murad stressed the ministry's keenness on supporting Jordan's investment sector by implementing the labour laws and regulations.
He said that the ministry's inspectors carry out the inspection campaigns in accordance with civil, urban and legal measures, which reflect their integrity and efficiency.
The minister also noted that the campaign targets violations related to the minimum wages, guest workers' status, females and persons with disabilities employment, as well as ensuring an appropriate and professional work environment.
