AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Friday said that the government is working to encourage people to establish their own income-generating businesses rather than seeking employment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The government policy aims to transform young Jordanians from job-seekers into business owners by supporting small enterprises through “real” partnership between the public and the private sector, and by the implementation of special programmes based on youth training.
The minister’s remarks came during a ceremony to launch a training course organised by the Jordan Valley Farmers Union in cooperation with the Vocational Training Corporation.
