Lower House committee, Swedish ambassador talk upcoming Royal visit

AMMAN — The Lower House Foreign Affairs Committee and Swedish Ambassador to Jordan Alexandra Rydmark on Sunday held talks focusing on the importance of the upcoming visit of Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden to Jordan next month.
During the meeting, head of the committee MP Khaldoun Haina said that the visit reflects the "deep-rooted and historic" Jordanian-Swedish relations, and the importance of strengthening them to serve joint interests, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He added that this visit represents an opportunity to develop bilateral relations at various parliamentary, economic, investment, commercial and tourism levels, adding that Jordan is looking forward to stronger cooperation with Sweden and starting new partnerships which would benefit the two countries. Rydmark praised Jordan-Sweden ties as "distinguished and historic", stressing her country's keenness to strengthen coordination in many fields.
