Madaba joins UNESCO Creative Cities Network for Mosaic Craft

AMMAN — Deputising for Prime Minister Hani Mulki, Minister of Municipal Affairs Walid Masri has attended Madaba Governorate’s celebration for joining UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for the Mosaic Craft, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
Masri conveyed Mulki’s greetings to the people of Madaba for their accomplishment which gives the city a distinctive place on the world’s tourism map.
Madaba’s Mayor Ahmad Fasatlah noted that Madaba dates back to the 13th century BC and has been inhabited by many civilisations due to its central location. He praised the citizens for their achievement.
