Minister of Youth launches ‘Exploration and Adventure’ tourism programme

AMMAN — Minister of Youth Mohammad Al Nabulsi on Monday inaugurated the tourism programme “Exploration and Adventure” in Al Hussein Youth City.
The programme is organised by the ministry in cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism Nayef Al Fayez, GCC ambassadors, including Saudi Ambassador Naif Bin Bandar Al Sudairi, Qatari Ambassador Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat and other officials.
During the opening ceremony, Nablusi underscored the “depth” of Jordan-GCC relations in various fields, particularly youth and sports, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and the leaders of the Arab Gulf states.
Mubarak Al Kubaisi from Qatar, on behalf of the participants, expressed his appreciation of Jordan’s hosting of the forum and various joint youth programmes, noting that the forum played a major role in developing young people’s skills.
Youth delegations representing the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar participated in the event.
The four-day forum includes an introduction session on Jordan’s history and civilisation, a training workshop on adventure tourism, field visits to tourist sites such as Umm Qais, the Roman Amphitheatre, Mount Nebo, Dana Reserve and Petra.
