AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry and the Kingdom’s embassy in Tel Aviv have been following up on the case of a Jordanian woman, Hiba Abdul Baqi, who was detained by Israeli forces on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said on Thursday.
Qudah noted that the Jordanian Consul in Tel Aviv visited the Jordanian national at the detention centre to check on her and learn about the circumstances surrounding the arrest, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
The spokesperson said the ministry will continue following up on the issue with the Israeli authorities to get the details, follow up on the legal action that will be taken against Abdul Baqi and work towards her release.
