‘Ministry to look into video of principal beating students in Ruseifa’

AMMAN — Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat on Sunday formed a committee to look into the issue of a video that showed a school principal in Ruseifa beating students.
The minister entrusted the director of the Ruseifa education department to relieve the school principal of his monitoring assignment at the General Secondary Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) winter session currently under way.
The ministry spokesperson, Walid Jallad, said the ministry will take punitive measures against anyone who exercises such irresponsible practices.
The video was published recently by local media outlets.
