AMMAN — The Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) on Tuesday urged its subscribers in Amman to pay their dues, which total JD22 million.

In a statement e-mailed to The Jordan Times, Miyahuna said it will cut water supplies to defaulting subscribers, noting that it uses most of the dues to improve water and wastewater networks in Amman.

Miyahuna said that if subscribers continue to ignore paying their outstanding dues even after services are cut off, the company’s lawyer will collect the unpaid dues via legal channels.

Miyahuna provides services to 600,000 subscribers in Amman, 80 per cent of whom are linked to the sewage network.
