New staff arrives at Jordan field hospital in Gaza

AMMAN — Jordan’s field hospital in Gaza on Thursday began receiving residents of the Gaza Strip after staff was rotated for the 55th time, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Col. Basim Hadban said that several patients had received treatment since early Thursday morning, stressing that the hospital’s staff was working at full capacity around the clock.
Hospital Director Maj. Mohammad Khalzaleh added that they had provided medical services to patients through counselling and specialised clinics.
The field hospital was established in 2009, and has since treated over 1.9 million patients, according to Petra. Gazans voiced their appreciation for Jordan’s support, His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian people as a whole.
