New staff of military field hospital in Egypt takes over

AMMAN — The entire staff of the Jordanian field hospital in Cairo, dubbed “Egypt 8” arrived in Cairo by Thursday.
Dispatched to Egypt upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, the hospital’s new staff, which replaced “Egypt 7” hospital, will help provide healthcare services to the Egyptian people and work to ease the pressure on the Egyptian medical sector.
In the past few years, Jordan has dispatched several military field hospitals to various conflict and disaster zones, such as Afghanistan, Libya, Gaza and the West Bank.
