Next stage to be ‘critical’ for private sector — JCC head

AMMAN — Amid the coronavirus crisis, citizens’ wellbeing is a top priority for the Kingdom’s economic sector, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Senator Nael Kabariti said in a voice message addressed to the business sector on Monday.

Touching on the government’s measures to contain the pandemic, including extending the curfew until the middle of April, Kabariti said that the next stage will be “difficult and critical” as it will determine the fate of citizens’ wellbeing and the private sector’s ability to hold out, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also noted that the JCC will convey the private sector’s demands to the government to provide facilitations related to taxes, customs, Aqaba port fees and workers’ salaries for the next stage.
