Nine injured in road accident, fire

AMMAN — Five people were injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in Balqa, according to a Civil Defence Department (CDD) statement. CDD cadres took the injured to Salt Hospital, where they were listed in fair condition.
Also on Thursday, CDD personnel extinguished a house fire in Karak's Mutah area. Four people suffered shortness of breath in the incident. CDD personnel took them to Prince Ali Hospital. In Zarqa, CDD firefighters extinguished a blaze at an automobile spare parts warehouse, and no injuries were recorded.
