November marks boost in tourism sector since beginning of 2019

AMMAN — The number of tourists who visited the Kingdom since the beginning of 2019 has reached 4,962,144, marking an increase of 8.3 per cent compared with the same period in 2018.
Tourism revenues also saw a notable increase of 9.9 per cent to reach $5.4 billion, equivalent to JD3.8 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
According to the CBJ data, the Kingdom’s revenues from tourism income also increased during November 2019 to reach $462.9 million, equivalent to JD328.2 million, marking an increase of 15.8 per cent compared with the same month of 2018.
