AMMAN — Over 20,000 families in Gaza have received vital donations from Jordanians through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), a humanitarian effort that aims to alleviate the large-scale suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.
Secretary-General of JHCO Hussein Shebli confirmed that the aid from Jordanians has arrived in Gaza after successfully passing through the Rafah border crossings [with Egypt].
“This initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of Jordanians in supporting their brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip during these challenging times.”
“The assistance provided to the people of Gaza stood at $2.5 million. These funds have been delivered directly to those in need.”
In addition to financial aid, JHCO said it had also spearheaded the distribution of essential lifesaving assistance, including clean water, medical and food supplies.
