AMMAN — Several owners of cafés and tourist restaurants on Tuesday urged the government to regulate establishments serving argileh (water pipe) rather than “arbitrarily closing them”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
At a meeting attended by members of the Lower House Tourism Committee, the owners said that there are some 300 shops that are not licensed to serve argileh and are in risk of being shut down under government regulations.
