Parliament to discuss Code of Conduct following Royal directives

AMMAN — The Lower House is keen on discussing the items of the Parliament’s Code of Conduct, which is considered the framework for the House’s performance, Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat said on Wednesday, noting that the code is part of the House’s bylaws.
Oddat also added that the Chamber will hold meetings to discuss the Parliament’s Code of Conduct, in implementation of the Royal directives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a meeting with the Senate president, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and members of the two Chambers’ permanent offices, His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday stressed the importance of Parliament’s Code of Conduct in enhancing public trust in the legislative authority.
