AMMAN — The Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) will begin accepting and processing applications to issue or renew passports for Jerusalemites. An official will be sent to Jerusalem to provide CSPD personnel with training on the relevant procedures pertaining to the civil status and passports of Jerusalemites, a CSPD official told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Wednesday.
Upon approval from the prime minister, Interior Minister Salameh Hammad had instructed the director of the CSPD to take the necessary procedures for the issuance and renewal of Jerusalemites’ passports through the Jordan Post Company and to reduce service fees from JD70 to JD50.
