Planning minister meets Association of Banks, JBA over investment draft law

AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh has held intensive meetings with the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) and the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) to review the draft law regulating the new investment environment, which was prepared by the government.
Part of consultation meetings with the private sector to prepare the new draft law regulating the investment environment, was attended by the ministers of finance, industry, trade and supply, investment, and minister of state for legal affairs.
The law regulating the new investment environment, which tops the priorities of the government's economic programme for 2021-2023, will be referred to Parliament to be discussed in the extraordinary session, scheduled to convene this month.
