Planning minister participates in WB teleconference on COVID-19 response

AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wissam Rabadi on Friday participated in the Development Committee meetings on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group’s (WB) 2020 Spring Meetings.
The meeting, which was held via videoconference and chaired by President of the World Bank Group David Malpass from Washington, DC, discussed the WB’s Emergency Response to fight the novel coronavirus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The WB will provide up to $16 billion in long-term financial support over the next 15 months, with an emphasis on protecting the most vulnerable communities around the world.
The Planning Ministry, according to a ministry statement, is working with donors and UN organisations to mobilise support for the Jordanian government to fight COVID-19.
