PM issues circular outlining new curfew measures

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Thursday issued Circular No. 26 of 2021, based on Defence Order No.19 of 2020.
The circular stipulates the prohibition of movement of people in the Kingdom from 7pm on Thursdays until 6am on Saturdays as of Saturday, March 13.
The circular also included the suspension of mass in churches, as of 6am on Friday, March 12, 2021 until the end of this month, as well as banning public movement across the Kingdom during the other days of the week from 7pm until 6am, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Businesses in all areas of the Kingdom shall close from 6pm until 6am, as of next Saturday, March 13 until further notice, while an exception was made for businesses that the prime minister decides on the nature of their work.
Restaurants, pastry shops and pharmacies are allowed to remain open until 12 midnight for delivery only.
