PM meets Qatar Central Bank Governor, QIA official in Doha

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh in Doha, on Tuesday, met with Governor of the Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Bandar Bin Mohamed Bin Saud Al Thani and Chief of Asia-Pacific and Africa Investments at the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al Thani.
During the meeting, attended by Minister of Investment Khuloud Saqqaf and Jordanian Ambassador to Qatar Zeid Lozi, Khasawneh reviewed the government’s efforts to enhance the business environment in the Kingdom and streamline investment procedures.
The Kingdom welcomes further Qatari investments in many sectors and projects, Khasawneh said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He also referred to the political will of the two leaders to increase cooperation and the "brotherly and close relations" between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Qatari side expressed interest in investing in Jordan’s tourism, healthcare, industries, energy and textiles sectors.
The two sides also agreed that a Qatari private sector business delegation will visit Jordan soon to explore possible opportunities for investment and increasing cooperation.
