AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday received US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry.
During the meeting, attended by Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh, discussions focused on the ongoing collaboration between the two countries, particularly in addressing the environmental challenges arising from climate change.
Both sides also highlighted the significance of supporting international and regional projects aimed at tackling these challenges, notably those related to water and the environment.
The prime minister expressed appreciation to the US’ support for Jordan’s efforts in addressing climate-related issues, especially those which have a significant impact on water resources and the environment.
Talks also underscored the importance of the upcoming COP28 Climate Summit, scheduled to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates in November.
