PM mourns passing of former minister Asma Khader

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday mourned the death of former culture minister Asma Khader who died late on Monday. 

Khasawneh paid tribute to Khader’s efforts while in public service and for her contributions in the fields of civil society, law, journalism, education, human rights, women’s rights and social work, expressing condolences to her family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Senate President Faisal Fayez also mourned the death of Khader and commended her efforts while in public service.

Khader was a recipient of the Order of Independence of the First Class and several local and international awards.
