AMMAN — Police have arrested 12 people suspected of thefts in different areas of the Kingdom. The spokesperson of the Public Security Department (PSD) said on Thursday that agents of the PSD’s Criminal Investigation Department solved, over the past few days, a number of crimes and rounded up all of the suspects involved.
He added that one of the suspects is accused of stealing from shops in Amman, Zarqa, Ajloun and Irbid, along with an accomplice.
Two others, suspected of a similar crime, were apprehended in the capital, while a fifth, a non-Jordanian, is accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing items inside. In one of the cases, a man armed with a gun broke into a house in Mafraq and was arrested while fleeing the scene.
