Polish, Jordanian audit delegations collaborate in combating corruption

AMMAN — Delegations from the Polish Supreme Audit Office and the Jordanian Audit Bureau visited the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) to learn about the commission's strategies for upholding integrity principles and combating corruption. IACC Chairman Muhannad Hijazi stressed the need for enhancing cooperation to safeguard public funds and praised the coordination between the IACC and the Audit Bureau. Marian Banas, president of the Supreme Audit Office of Poland, acknowledged the achievements of the IACC and expressed keenness to expand cooperation with Jordan's oversight bodies. During the visit, Radi Al Hamadeen, president of the Audit Bureau, emphasised the importance of expertise exchange to enhance institutional capacity and sharing knowledge about international best practices in auditing. This visit marks the end of a 30-month EU-funded twinning project between the Audit Bureau and the Polish Supreme Audit Office aimed at improving the audit capacity of the bureau.
