Prince Hassan calls for considering pandemic as 'human pause for reflection'

AMMAN — HRH Prince Hassan, president of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF) called for considering the pandemic as a "human pause for reflection" before heading towards creativity and new ideas that lead to development.
Prince Hassan, during a recent meeting with members of the Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum, highlighted the importance of identifying commonalities and priorities to work at the medium and long terms with an outlook based on empowerment and investment in the human capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The prince also highlighted the importance of establishing a comprehensive national information system for resources to contribute to providing necessary information and data that can be used as indicators for economic and social plans in a bid to meet the development needs in the public and private sectors.
Participants went over several issues and challenges facing the economic, social, technological and legislative systems and stressed the significance of speeding up economic growth and enhancing the contribution of the private sector to achieve recovery after the pandemic.
Head of the business forum Nathmi Atmeh said that the forum, which was established in 2011, includes more than 200 members of various economic sectors, and it contributes to supporting the development of the national economy and stimulating it to create more jobs.
