Prince Mired, House speaker discuss draft law on disability

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, the president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Wednesday met with Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, they discussed the draft law on rights of persons with disabilities. The prince expressed hope that the bill will be given the attention and care of the House.
Also on Wednesday, Tarawneh received the annual report on human rights for 2015. The speaker stressed the House’s keenness on reviewing the report, considering it an oversight tool on human rights and freedoms.
