AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of People with Disabilities (HCD), on Wednesday listened to a success story of Dahyet Emir Hassan School for Girls in integrating students with different disabilities in its classrooms.
During a visit to the school, he was acquainted with challenges faced by the facility to enrol the physically challenged students.
The prince highlighted that despite being a constitutional right, students with disabilities only constitute 5 per cent of the total number of Jordan’s students, citing the HCD’s national initiative to integrate disabled students into public and private schools.
