Prince Mired meets with Al Mamlaka over disability issues' media coverage

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, chairman of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), on Tuesday met with Director General of Al Mamlaka Dana Suyyagh over the media's role in promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in Jordan. The meeting was part of a series of meetings conducted by Prince Mired with media institutions in a bid to activate the role that they can play in covering disability issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Prince Mired stressed the need to shed more light on the rights of persons with disabilities as a top priority of the media, pointing to the importance of raising awareness regarding challenges experienced by persons with disabilities in an objective manner. Suyyagh underscored the channel's commitment to cooperating with the HCD in providing resources and solutions for all persons with disabilities.
