Prince Mired meets Mexican ambassador

AMMAN — President of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) HH Prince Mired and Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez on Thursday discussed ways to enhance cooperation and the exchange of expertise pertaining to the rights of people with disabilities.
During the meeting, which was held at the HCD headquarters, Prince Mired stressed His Majesty King Abdullah's keenness and continuous directives to develop services provided to people with disabilities and offer necessary support to them to become qualified to join the labour market in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For his part, Hernandez commended the "advanced" level of rights of people with disabilities in Jordan, and HCD's efforts to achieve "effective" participation.
HCD Secretary General Mohannad Azzeh stressed the importance of Royal directives aimed to develop legislation, strategies and plans to be in line with requirements to achieve equality and fair opportunities for people with disabilities.
