AMMAN — The supervisory committee of the Princess Basma Award for Development and Community Service on Monday announced the winning entrepreneur projects that participated in 2019.
The eighth edition of the award mainly focused on entrepreneurship and its importance in creating a positive change and stimulating productivity among society members in general and youth in particular, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
HRH Princess Basma highlighted the significance of connecting entrepreneur initiatives and ideas with the programmes implemented by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) through its nationwide centres, calling on youth to develop their projects to achieve all envisioned results.
The winner and recipient of the JD10,000 cash prize was Sahha Tech e-platform, which focuses on health media and the psychological, social, mental, material and physical facets of patients through broadcasting awareness videos on social media outlets and organising workshops at schools, universities and centres.
In second place, and winning JD7,000, was Archismile initiative, which aims at engaging youth in activities to improve the educational environment at schools and develop the general view of Amman's neighbourhoods through decorating and painting their school walls and stairs.
The Martha Edu project won third place and JD5,000. The project seeks to eradicate illiteracy among people who are deaf by teaching them sign language through an e-application.
