Princess Sumaya honours PSUT team for winning Collegiate Penetration Competition

AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya Bint Al Hassan, chairwoman of the Princess Sumaya University’s (PSUT) Board of Trustees on Tuesday honoured the university’s team and their supervisors who achieved first place globally in the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition hosted at Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA.
The competition included 15 teams, all from prestigious US universities, and PSUT was the only team from outside the United States, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Her Highness expressed pride in the exceptional skills and deep understanding demonstrated by the university’s students and their professors in the field of cyber security and problem-solving.
University President Wejdan Abu Elhaija congratulated the winning students and their supervisors. The team’s supervisor, Mohammed Ababneh, said that in October 2023 the university’s team won first place in the regional qualifiers for the Middle East, Africa, and Europe among 250 university teams from 8 global regions in the Penetration Testing Competition.
