Princess Sumaya presides over graduation of PSUT’s  29th class 

AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya, chair of the board of trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), served as patron of the graduation ceremonies of the 29th class of students of PSUT. 

“Technology holds immense significance. It shapes and enhances our lives in countless ways,” Prince Sumaya said at the ceremony for the King Abdullah I School of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.  “The graduates before us have dedicated themselves to fields within the realm of technology, from computer science to data science and from information systems security to digital criminology. In Jordan, we are committed to keeping pace with the technological and industrial revolution sweeping the world.”

The princess emphasised PSUT’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages scientists, researchers and students to participate in building a knowledge-based economy and support innovation and entrepreneurship through investment in education and research. 

The ultimate goal is to help nurture sustainable development for Jordan, the princess said.

Princess Sumaya said that the knowledge and skills gained by PSUT students set new standards of excellence and transform them into ambassadors of knowledge and leadership who will have a lasting impact. 

The princess encouraged the graduates to embrace the challenges and opportunities that will shape their futures as they begin a new chapter in their lives. 

She also expressed her pride in the many PSUT graduates who have excelled across disciplines and shone in leadership roles.

PSUT President Wejdan Abu Elhaija talked about the finalisation of a comprehensive strategic plan that includes  a review of the university’s mission and vision, with a focus on education, research, community service, creativity and global engagement. 

“The university is committed to placing students and graduates at the centre of its mission, aligning research with national priorities, enhancing performance indicators, and refining learning outcomes for each field of study,” she said.
