Princess Wijdan inaugurates women art exhibition

AMMAN — Deputising for Her Majesty Queen Rania, HRH Princess Wijdan Al Hashemi on Saturday inaugurated the art exhibition, titled “I”, running until July 14 at the Jordan National Gallery for Fine Arts (JNGFA).
The fair, co-organised by the gallery and the Caravan foundation, showcases work of 31 female artists from the Middle East, in which they express the conditions, concerns and aspirations of Middle Eastern women, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Khalid Khreis, director general of the JNGFA, said that the title “I” raises many questions that were addressed by the artists in the social, political and religious fields.
